Introducing Traction Control

We're excited to introduce Traction Control, a new feature now available for UBCO 2X2 Gen5 riders through the UBCO Rider App.

Designed to improve stability during acceleration, Traction Control helps reduce front wheel slip by intelligently modulating power to the motors. From steep farm tracks and loose gravel roads to wet grass and uneven terrain, the system works in the background to help maintain grip when conditions become challenging.

When traction is limited, sudden wheel spin can impact rider confidence and control. Traction Control continuously monitors riding conditions and adjusts motor output when slip is detected, helping the bike maintain traction while accelerating. The result is a smoother, more predictable riding experience, allowing riders to focus on the terrain ahead with greater confidence in how their 2X2 responds beneath them.

    Traction Control can be switched on or off through the UBCO Rider App, giving riders the flexibility to choose the setup that best suits their riding conditions.

How to Enable Traction Control

  1. Update the UBCO Rider App to the latest version.
  2. Connect the app to your 2X2 Gen5.
  3. Select your bike and open Settings.
  4. Navigate to Firmware and 'Update' the ECU firmware to version 2.03.230 or later.
  5. Tap 'Back' to return to Settings.
  6. Enable Traction Control.
